A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is the sole provider of outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).  During an outpatient nutrition visit, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists work closely with you to create individualized plans to meet your medical and nutritional needs.

Our Philosophy

We like to think of ourselves as nutrition counselors, blending the art of counseling with the science of nutrition.  Food and eating habits are integral parts of our lives, yet can create challenges, especially with the complexities of “diets” in today’s world.  We believe that we all have the potential to have a healthy relationship with food and the prominent role it has to fuel our bodies and minds.  We want to learn about you and gain a better understanding of what you would like to change about your relationship with food.  We go beyond the basics, to reflect on your past and present eating behaviors as well as discover your attitudes and beliefs about your food choices, weight, health, physical activity and more.

You and Your RDN

You and your RDN will work together collaboratively to help you meet your health, weight and nutrition goals.

Outpatient nutrition counseling with an RDN can:

  • Create practical and personalized solutions for healthy eating habits
  • Create daily nutrition and physical activity goals for weight management

  • Separate fads from facts to better understand nutrition information
  • Provide communication with your primary care provider on your health needs

What to Expect

Please keep a 3-5 day food journal prior to your first appointment.  This will aid the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in gathering information such as current drinking/eating habits, food selections, and supplement use.  Follow-up appointments will be scheduled periodically and will allow you to adjust your goals and be supported to make progress towards them.  For any questions, please call us at 920-623-1545.
