Meet Our Surgeons

Since 1998, Dr. Thomas Castillo has provided his ophthalmology skills to Beaver Dam and its surrounding communities. He has been practicing ophthalmology since 1981. He began his education at Loyola University in Chicago, IL where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology. He then continued his education at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his internship, Anatomy Teaching fellowship, and completed his Ophthalmology Residency. In 1991 he attended post-graduate school at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA where he graduated with his Masters in Business Administration. Dr. Thomas Castillo is certified in Ophthalmology by American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

Thomas Castillo states, "I want my patients to know that I have always been committed to providing the latest in quality eye care. I was the first ophthalmologist to implant folding intraocular lenses in the Quad Cities, something which is now the standard in cataract surgery. Dr. Wilkins and I routinely implant the best IOL's possible for our patients, always attempting to give them the best vision possible".
