New coffee shop and main street entrance now open at Prairie Ridge Health

A new coffee shop and a clinic connector providing a main street entrance are now open at Prairie Ridge Health.

“The connector and new coffee shop, combined with our healthcare team, provide a warm welcome for both patients and visitors,” said John Russell, PRH President and CEO. “The clinic connector allows ease of access to all areas of the hospital from one convenient entrance.”

The connector provides access from the hospital’s main entrance to Prairie Ridge Health Clinic, Dean Clinic and the clinic of Elizabeth Larson, MD, all located on the first floor. The UW Health Clinic, which moved to the hospital’s second floor in May 2015, may also be accessed through the main entrance.

The coffee shop, known as the Perk Avenue Café, features coffee by local roasters, real fruit smoothies, and an expanded menu including gourmet desserts, salads and sandwiches. The café is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

“All of the recipes have been created by our executive chef,” said Emily Briggs, PRH Manager of Food and Nutrition Services.
