Join us for Pedal Days as we bike to a different location from 5-7 p.m. each day of the week, May 16 – 20, in Columbus, WI.

The week-long event invites participants of all ages to ride a bike to different locations in Columbus, where they will receive a passport and a passport sticker for each location. Each passport sticker is redeemable for a door prize ticket at the bike rodeo, May 21 at the Columbus Elementary School parking lot. Snacks, beverages, biking information and more will be available at each site.

Participants are invited to bring their Pedal Days passport to the Columbus Police Department throughout the week between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to receive a FREE bike license.

All locations below will be offering their designated activities from 5-7 p.m. Pedal Days includes:

Monday, May 16 – Prairie Ridge Health – Kick Start to Cycling

Kick start your week at the first passport destination and be treated to snacks, first aid supplies and more. Be sure to take a selfie with our special guest. Rain or shine, the activities will take place at the Prairie Ridge Health main entrance.

Tuesday, May 16 – Columbus Area Senior Center – Bike Shaped Cookie Decorating

Decorate a bike shaped cookie and challenge yourself to a puzzle or two. Rain or shine, all of the fun will take place inside the senior center.

Wednesday, May 18 – Columbus Public Library – Alphabikes!

Fuel up with a healthy snack and deck out your bike with a personalized mini license plate. In case of rain, the program will be held in the library’s programming room.

Thursday, May 19 – Columbus Elementary School – “Color”ful snacks

Snag some colorful, delicious, nutritious snacks, enter our bike coloring contest and entertain yourself with some fun bike-related activities.

Friday, May 20 – Columbus Recreation Department – 229 E. School Street – Bike Decorating

Children can get creative by decorating their bicycles to their liking. In case of rain, decorating will take place inside the DPW work bays.

Saturday, May 21 – BIKE RODEO! – Columbus Elementary School Parking Lot

Learn the rules of the road so you and your family are safe when riding a bike. Visit our resource tables, get FREE stuff, and have fun. FREE bike helmets for the first 100 kids courtesy of the Columbus Kiwanis Club. Ride your bike alongside a Columbus Police Officer. FREE ice cream courtesy of Columbus Culvers.

Don’t forget your passport! Passport stickers are redeemable for door prize tickets on the day of the bike rodeo.
