Prairie Ridge Health has been working on the construction of a three-story building project while simultaneously creating new kitchen and dining spaces since 2017. As of today, November 2, we officially completed these projects. The three-story clinic and rehabilitation building features natural light, allowing for an open and warm atmosphere to promote healing and wellness while the kitchen features a made to order grill, multiple seating options, and a lounge area.

“We would like to thank the community for supporting us through the completion of the kitchen, clinic, and rehab building project,” said John Russell, President and CEO of Prairie Ridge Health. “Your continued support gave us the ability to finish construction and offer these new spaces to our patients, team, and the communities we serve.”

The expansion was made possible by the overwhelming support of community members who donated over $206,000 to furnish the therapy and cardiac rehab gyms with new equipment.

The clinic building’s third floor will be home to physical, occupational, and speech therapy services with a devoted registration and scheduling team. This dedicated team will enhance the coordination of care and allow for more patient convenience in scheduling appointments.

“Our rehabilitation services needed room to grow,” explained Russell. “By moving physical, occupational, and speech therapy to the third floor of the new building, and by creating a new dedicated space for our cardiac rehab team on the first floor, which is currently in the design phase, all will soon have ample space.” In 2019, our Rehabilitation Services team, made up of 17 therapy providers and four cardiac nurses, provided over 16,500 physical therapy, occupational therapy, and cardiac rehab treatment sessions for our patients.

The first floor of the clinic building will be the new home of Prairie Ridge Health’s Family Practice and Internal Medicine providers. Orthopedic, General Surgery, Rheumatology and OBGYN providers will remain across the hall in the current clinic location.

Prairie Ridge Health Clinic opened in 2014 with five providers and four service lines: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Physical Therapy, and Medical Imaging. Now, in 2020, three clinic locations (Columbus, Beaver Dam, and Marshall) are the home of 15 providers offering 12 different service lines including: Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Rheumatology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nutrition, Diabetes, Medical Imaging, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Lab.
