Go Beyond the Scale with Metrics that Matter
Body composition analysis involves advanced technology to measure the amount of body fat, muscle, bone, and other tissues in the body. This non-invasive test provides a comprehensive and accurate assessment of a person’s overall health and fitness level, and can be used by healthcare professionals to develop personalized nutrition and fitness plans to support the individual’s health goals.
The body composition analysis at Prairie Ridge Health is performed by trained and certified professionals and is a safe and effective way to monitor progress toward a healthier body composition. It’s open to everyone, but the following populations will especially benefit:
- Anyone who wants to improve athletic performance. Weight isn’t the most accurate marker of health and fitness. Body composition analysis gives you insights and benchmarks to know where to focus your workouts for peak athletic performance.
- Anyone who wants to lose weight. We’ve all been there…sometimes, the scale doesn’t want to budge. This analysis gives you a better understanding of your body composition and ideas for healthy improvement.
- The aging population. After age 50, you lose 1-2 percent of muscle every year, which can cause a higher risk of falls and fractures. The body composition analysis helps you track muscle so you can work to maintain it.
